About Arlene
Arlene is proud to be a Certified Professional Coach, a Certified Career Management Professional, a RSP-Trained Retirement Coach and a life-time Certified Senior Professional in Human Resource Management.
Arlene assists people in "living their lives on purpose, not by default". She works with people in all types of transition, including retirement, to discover meaning and purpose in each stage of life. Arlene is known for her contagious enthusiasm for life and her ability to create a safe and nonjudgmental coaching environment and her compassionate and intuitive approach to coaching.
Originally from Chicago, she earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern Illinois University in Education and a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Utah, specializing in Career Development, Organization Development and Training. Arlene has extensive experience as a leader in organizational development, leadership development, transition management, executive coaching, corporate training, career development, job search training and counseling. Her varied experience in corporate, academic, management consulting, outplacement and non-profit environments enriches her understanding of her clients' situation. She has been Manager of Employee Development for a Fortune 500 company, Vice President of Learning and Development for a management consulting and outplacement firm and Regional Manager for an international outplacement firm.
Arlene has held a variety of leadership roles in professional associations such as American Society for Training and Development and Society for Human Resource Management and has served on numerous business and non-profit advisory boards. She has authored a variety of career development and leadership development programs and manuals, and has presented at business conference conferences and professional associations and meetings.
Arlene has chosen to do her life's work as a passionate professional and life coach.
